Transparency and security for your e-commerce purchases
The Nicole brand is committed to ensuring maximum transparency, confidentiality, and security for all commercial transactions made on our digital boutique. To meet every need, we offer various payment methods, all protected by the highest encryption standards and compliant with current tax regulations.
1. CREDIT, DEBIT, AND PREPAID CARDS
We accept payments via major international payment networks. This method involves real-time debiting of the amount as soon as the order is confirmed by the system.
Accepted networks: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, and major prepaid cards (including Postepay).
Transaction security: To prevent cyber fraud, every transaction is protected by 3D Secure security protocols (such as Verified by Visa or Mastercard Identity Check), which require two-factor authentication via your bank's application.
2. DIGITAL PAYMENTS AND FAST CHECKOUT
To speed up the purchasing process and avoid manually entering card details for every order, we offer rapid payment systems integrated directly with the Shopify platform:
PayPal: A secure system that allows you to pay by accessing your personal PayPal account directly or by linking a card, without sharing your financial details with our store.
Apple Pay and Google Pay: Digital wallet solutions that allow you to complete your purchase in seconds via biometric recognition (fingerprint or facial recognition) on your smartphone or associated device.
3. INTEREST-FREE INSTALLMENT PAYMENT
Mindful of the value and artisanal quality of our footwear, we offer the option to pay in convenient monthly installments, with no additional costs or interest.
Klarna / Scalapay: By choosing this option at checkout, the total order amount will be split into 3 equal monthly installments. The first installment is charged immediately upon shipment, while the following two will be collected automatically on a monthly basis.
4. ADVANCE BANK TRANSFER
For those who prefer traditional payment methods, it is possible to select payment via bank transfer.
Order execution: By choosing this method, the order will remain "pending." The footwear will be produced, finished, or shipped only and exclusively after the amount has been effectively credited to our bank account.
Payment details: The IBAN bank details and the BIC/SWIFT code will be sent automatically via email immediately after the order confirmation. The Customer is required to include the order number in the bank transfer reference.
5. USING GIFT CARDS AND PROMOTIONAL CODES
The checkout system allows the use of digital credit vouchers and promotional discounts for the full or partial payment of the order:
Gift Cards: The Gift Card issued by our store is considered in all respects a preloaded payment method. It can be used to cover the entire order amount or a part of it. If the value of the Gift Card is less than the cart total, the Customer must settle the difference using one of the other digital or bank payment methods accepted by the store.
Mixed Payments and Refunds: Should an order partially paid with a Gift Card and partially with a credit card/PayPal be subsequently canceled or returned in accordance with our Withdrawal Policy, the refund will be processed by first re-crediting the amount to the original digital Gift Card up to its initial value, and the remaining amount to the card or PayPal account used for the balance.
Discount Codes and Promotional Coupons: Percentage or fixed-amount discount codes entered at checkout reduce the taxable base of the order. Unless otherwise and specifically indicated to the contrary in the promotion, discount codes cannot be combined with each other in the same order and cannot be converted into cash. Applying a discount code may change the final calculation for obtaining free shipping if the cart total falls below the minimum required threshold of €150.00.
5.1 FISCAL DOCUMENTATION FOR MIXED PAYMENTS (GIFT CARD + BALANCE)
In the event that a purchase is paid partially via Gift Card and partially via a supplementary payment method, the issuance of the fiscal document (Electronic Receipt or Electronic Invoice) will take place in accordance with the following tax provisions:
Total document value: The receipt or electronic invoice will always show the full commercial value of the footwear purchased, including the legal VAT applied to the entire basket of goods.
Evidence of payment methods: Within the fiscal document, separate and clear accounting evidence will be given to the two different payment methods:
The portion covered by the Gift Card will be indicated under the fiscal item "Payment by Voucher/Electronic Money" (or consideration not collected/collected via voucher).
The remaining portion will be indicated with the actual payment method used by the Customer (e.g., Credit Card or PayPal).
Corporate invoicing with mixed payments: If a company requests an invoice for an order partially paid with a Gift Card, the electronic invoice sent to the SDI (Exchange System) will report the entire order amount as the document total. The corporate Customer is aware that the portion covered by the voucher represents the use of a previously purchased credit and that the actual traceable financial outlay for that single order will correspond solely to the difference paid at checkout.
6. CURRENCY AND TAXATION
All prices displayed on our online store are in Euros (€) and already include VAT (Value Added Tax) according to the legal rates in force in Italy. The total amount indicated on the final cart screen is the final amount that will be charged, with no hidden fees from our side.
7. SPECIFIC PROVISIONS FOR CORPORATE CUSTOMERS AND PROFESSIONALS (ITALIAN VAT NUMBERS)
If the purchase is made by a legal entity, a freelance professional, or a company (Non-Consumer Customer) based in Italy, the issuance of the electronic commercial invoice is subject to compliance with the following mandatory rules:
Timing of the request: In accordance with Italian tax regulations (Art. 22 of D.P.R. 633/1972), the invoice must be requested strictly at the time the order is placed. Invoicing requests received after the goods have been shipped or after the daily fiscal closing will not be accepted; in such cases, the transaction will be recorded exclusively in the register of receipts.
Mandatory data for electronic invoicing: For the issuance of the fiscal document via the Exchange System (SDI), the Customer is required to provide the following in the appropriate checkout form (or via immediate communication to nicole@scarpedaballo-nicole.it no later than one hour after order confirmation):
Full Company Name and Registered Business Address.
VAT Number (Partita IVA) and/or Tax Code (Codice Fiscale).
7-character Recipient Code (SDI) or, alternatively, the Certified Email address (PEC).
Data errors: The Nicole brand assumes no responsibility for the failure to deliver the invoice to the Customer's tax drawer if the entered data (VAT number or SDI code) are incorrect, incomplete, or invalid.
8. INTERNATIONAL AND FOREIGN TRANSACTIONS (B2B AND B2C)
Our store is configured to accept orders and payments from customers located outside of Italy. Depending on the destination and the legal nature of the Customer, the following tax and customs provisions apply:
Private Customers within the European Union (B2C): In accordance with the Community OSS (One Stop Shop) regime, the prices shown at checkout for private consumers residing in the EU include the VAT rate in force in the country of destination of the goods. The transaction will be settled entirely in Euros (€).
Companies within the European Union (B2B - VIES Regime): European corporate customers who wish to purchase under the VAT exemption regime (Reverse Charge) are required to enter a valid EU VAT number. Our IT system will verify automatic registration in the European VIES registry. If the VAT number is not registered or active in the VIES circuit at the time of payment, the transaction will be taxed with the ordinary VAT of the destination country and cannot be modified subsequently.
Non-EU Customers (Private and Companies): For all shipments destined for countries outside the European Union (e.g., Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, etc.), the payment made on our store covers exclusively the value of the footwear and the transport cost.
Duties and Customs Fees: Any local tax, import duty, local VAT, or customs clearance fee required by the authorities of the destination country is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the Customer. The recipient is required to settle these amounts directly with the courier or the competent customs authorities in order to clear and receive the package.
Refusal of Shipment: In the event that the Customer refuses delivery of the package to avoid paying customs duties required by their country, the transport costs for returning the goods to our laboratory in Italy and any return duties will be entirely deducted from the order refund.
Note on Currencies: Should the Customer choose to pay in a currency other than the Euro (€) via the automatic conversion systems on the store, any exchange fees applied by the Customer's bank or credit card network remain their sole responsibility.
